Heel Exercise: Morning Towel Stretch


Try this exercise before you get out of bed in the morning to stretch your feet!


Begin by sitting up with your legs stretched out in front of you. Place a towel or resistance band around the bottom of your feet at the ball area. Pull on both ends of the towel or resistance banding while flexing your feet forward. Push your foot up and back ten times. I recommend stretching the sides of your feet by also turning your foot to the right and left while flexing your foot up and back ten times. When turning your foot to the right or left, only have one foot in the towel or resistance band to maximize stretching. Repeat for the left foot.
